Is it the same??

How much of the front suspension is interchangable between the std cab and the extra cab? Are the tranny mounts in the same place on both style trucks? Also how much difference in length are the std cab bed and the extra cab bed and where is the difference in the beds (front, back)?

everything is the same except driveline

I thought I had heard that the beds were different between the std cab and ex cab

they are different, he meant the suspension

The reason I am asking is that I came across a sweet deal on a extra cab and want to know how much work or if it is even possible to put my 4X4 bed off my standard cab onto it.

ask roger26i hes done it. if i remember correctly you have to cut like 13 inches off the front of the bed or something like that.

dont get rid of the 4x4 bed on the black truck man

i know where you can get an excab 4x4 fairly cheap

move the axle back, put the std bed on the extra cab frame, you only get 2" longer in body and it looks better then the stock bed on the excab
