Title

I recently purchased a mint STOCK STD CAB mazda truck from a Wrecking yard which gives me my second , but they could not give me title at time , only a Bill Of Sale showing what I paid . Its a reciept with there Wrecking yard name and price with Vin Etc


What are my options for getting a Title ? Steps would help

Not the best way , but only one I could think of so far . Anybody willing to sell Title/Vin firewall from one of your parts trucks ? Truck will be full show like my blue one with custom frame .


Any options would be great .

that's illegal.. if it's just a trailer queen, don't bother. unless you plan to sell it. then you're s.o.l.

After I finish the truck I would like to Register it , so no it will not be a Trailer Queen .

As for Illegal . Selling me Title/Vin is somewhat , but selling a complete truck and swapping my stuff over or vice versa is not . That's like saying you cannot fix a wrecked vehicle . Say you messed up your cab in an accident and purchase another one from a Wrecking yard and swap your Vin plates onto it . Even putting a custom frame with no Vin Tag on it anymore is Illegal for Road Use . Removing Vin in Door jamb for Suicide Doors,Custom Paint etc is illegal aswell .

if you swap vin's from a parts truck and register your truck with a vin that did not come with yours, it is illegal. if you mess up your cab and swap cabs, it is illegal to swap vins. there is nothing legal about swapping vins, no matter what. if you do it, it is ILLEGAL. if you swap cabs, you must swap titles. simple as that. not trying to be an ass, just letting you know ahead of time.

If you read my post , I stated numerous times that it is Illegal , but it is a gray area that alot of people do . Not everybody that purchases a cab from a wrecking yard on a Old Mazda or old car gets a Title with it . They get a bill of sale and that is it usually . So majority have to use Vin from Original Mazda Truck . Never was I trying to be a dick and my wording was quite nice . Any help with actual options are the only things needed . I know it can be done with a Mechanics lean or Abandoned Vehicle , but even then I would like others opinions on those options if they have gone that Route .

you should be able to take the bill of sale from the wrecker and have the vehicle inspected and they will issue you a salvage title...call the dmv

I bought a cab from a guy that brings cabs up from the states and there was no vin on it the cab i had was rusted out and no good so i put the vin number from the dash in the new cab and drove that truck for 3 years then sold it and that truck went around from friend to friend till it came back to me for 3 days then i sold it to a kid in trade for 2 sea-doos and it as I know of right now is in a wrecking yard becasue the kid was stupid and got drunk. I now have the mazda with a custom dash in it and I took the vin plate off the old dash and placed it on the new one. I have never had a mazda with the vin plate on the fire wall but I have seen them. Yes you can get in trouble for moving vin plates but I have done it and even talked to a MTO officer and told him what I did and all he asked is did I have a reciept for the cab i put on the truck and for the dash swap all I had to do is show I owned the truck before I did the swap. Think of it this way how many trucks in mini truckin have you seen with a different dash in it because all of them by law are illegal. In the end it is illegal but what we do to are vehicles are illegal. When a dealer ship fix and replaces your cab do you think they give you a new vin and ownership. It comes down to having recepts to the cab or parts you buy and keep them with you. And the trailer queen bit please what do you do when trying to get insurance on it please there may be people running around with a truck car with no vin and not registration and to me thats called a model you buy them from walmart for 12.99 LOL come on you have that kind of money in a vehicle and you have no insurance. Maybe I do not know much about trailer queen insurance so please in lighten me. Up here in canada if you do not have a ownership and apprasial done you will not get insurance. NOW i AM NOT TRYING TO START ANYTHING JUST MY 2 CENTS.

I would rather not have a Salvage Title since they are alot more money on Insurance and alot tougher to get insured with a Quality company . Its an option for sure and most likely would need to no modift the truck at all for those Inspections ? Thanks
