create a police report just in case, FYI if they don't stay at the scene (even if they left a note) it's still considered hit and run, and they are still fully liable and can be charged. likely they're honest since they left the note, but sometimes people turn around when they hear how much body work actually costs...

Well from the looks of things I would say you got lucky (sorta). Looks like the cab and fender are OK. Was knida worried the cab got tweaked and the new door would not line up but I think you will be fine. I agree with the others - file a police report. Never hurts to have backup. Sounds like you shouldn't have to much trouble finding a replacement door. Good luck and maybe you might come out ahead in the end.

Yeah I can't believe it didn't cause there is a nice bow in the door near the top.
Things work a little different here, but it's already been reported to the proper people (we go through insurance here not the police) and all the proper info is being given.
I believe i got very lucky and there is no other damage at all!

I'm going to start another thread for this as I need an aswer fast but maybe someone here can answer it.
I've been phoneing around for the door, and am being asked repeatedly weather it's for a regular or extended cab. I thought they were the same but the guy at the junkyard said there are two different numbers in the computer for them. Whats the difference? He thought it might be the bottom rear corner shape. Anyone know for sure?

Shouldn't be any difference between the std and ext cab doors.
