^^^^^^^^I have those on mine and I've ran both Hela and HID's and they both looked great I'm putting the 10,000Ks on this weekend again. Took 'em off for a while cause I was getting tired of people flashing me cause they thought I was rollin' with the high beams on. A friend of mine got some 4x6 with projector for his caprice and slapped some HID's on it , looked cool up until we noticed the glue that was holding the proj. ring was melting until the ring fell, they lasted him about 2 weeks. He ended up with reg. diamond and HID's now.

Don't get me wrong I think both look good but I am sharing what happened to a friend of mine's caprice when he combined HID's with projectors. Maybe those proj. were cheapys or it's an isolated incident, it could also be the intense heat that HID's tend to produce that caused it but this just happened less than a month ago so I'll see if I can get pics.

yes the diamond cuts are good for regular or better h4 bulbs. but if you go with hids, you need the projectors. hids with the diamond cuts, the light will scatter. hids with projectors will give you the cut off line like hids are supposed to. heres my headlights.

yeah, yours are just plain sick. those pics definetly do them justice with how well the light is emitted.

I agree with crazymikey they do look good, I'll try to post pics later, also if you notice>>>>>> I may be wrong but just an observation_ projectors usually throw a beam out of the projector part not to whole light assembly. They do look bright regardless.

if you do get HIDs, try to find something in the 4300k to 6000k range. 4300 is pretty much optimum and anything more than 6000 becomes not as bright and just adds more glare. people often mistake the temperature rating in lights to how bright they are which is actually the opposite. the glare like in those pics shouldnt be mistaken for brightness. at the height the camera was, there shouldnt be that much light because that would be shining directly in oncoming traffics eyes. with that much glare too, it lessens the cutoff line as it shouldnt be shining it the roof of the house across the street.

Also note that when you get into the really high temps, like 6000+, is when they are the most blue coloured light which just adds to the glare. They create so much glare that the light just reflects off the road if it is wet, foggy or snowing and you cannot see anything. They are great when it is dry and clear. My 3850s were a blue-ish/white and they were pretty good in the wet and snow. What I liked about them is that they were so clear and bright that they had a very visble light pattern spread out which covered both shoulders of a 2 lane road and good visibility to the front.

I would suggest if you want to go with really crazy 6000+ HIDs that you invest in a good set of auxilary fog lights or driving lights. Just a plain 55w halogen is all you need to light up the road infront of you and reduce the glare and reflection.
