Ok so I connected my sunpro tach. Everything seems right except it starts at 1000 and it really doesnt go up. Anybody know what this could be?
sounds like its set for 8cyl. see if there is a setting to change it to 4cyl.
It says to set it oppisite of the actual cylinder of your car or truck. I put it on 8 but there is also 4 and 6. You think I should set it for 4
when I set it on 4cyl it stays at 1 but when I push the throttle it moves faster. When i put it on 6cyl it moves to 500 and than moves up same as 4
yeah id say put it on 4cyl. the truck should idle around 800 to 1000 anyway.
ok. and where should I put the red line at? Do 87 mazda b2200 not go so high. I have a weber to. idk if that makes a diff. I put it on 4 cylinder and it only goes up to 3 but cant exactly push it on thise road. so maybe 5. Should first gear take it to 5 fast. It only takes it to 2 or almost 3 and same goes for 2nd gear
i havent had a cluster with a tach in years. im gonna say redline is like 5. id check and see if you can find a pic of a tach cluster and see what the redline is.

Redline on a stock tach cluster is 5500 rpm.
