Wondering if there is some common problem which makes me go through bulbs once a week? Also my gas guage only works when it wants to. When it works I think it might be lying!

where gloves when you install the bulb oil from your hands makes them blow very fast as far as the gas guage welcome to being a mazda owner you can remove the tank and clean up the coils on the sending unit and rebend the rod to make better contact and your set

That could very well be my problem. Thanks. As for the gas tank, I think I'll live with it. The trip meter will be my gas guage.

I had the switch go on mine a few years back. technically i don't know what the hell it was doing but i kept blowing through batteries. I yanked it and it solved the problem, except that now I don't have a dome light...

Just wire in your own custom LED panel behind, problem solved and nice upgrade.

That's an awesome idea. I bet that would be pretty easy to rig up too.
