I thought I would share this email and my response to it......

Hey cl,
I didn't like seeing you get all worked up like that in that stupid ricer thread...
I wasn't trying to offend or pick on anyone when posting my reply in there with the "they all their heads stuck up their ass" thing...I was merely stating a FACT rather than an OPINION,based on my personal experiences from being in the scene for several years,and stating that those were the reasons why I got out of the scene. I worked at a tuner shop for 3 years where we dealt with rotary engines,popular JDM engine swaps and worked on alot of RWD Imports and made custom strut bars and rollcages and stuff.
I don't deal at all with the import scene.Honestly,I can't stand the people...I don't say the comments I said as a stereotype or a borad generalization,I just speak from experience. If I didn't have any experience in the scene,I wouldn't have said anything.
The whole thing got out of hand like the lowrider vs minitrucker thread. Everyone has their opinions and thoughts...some are just a little more whacked or out there than others. It's the guys like you that have to keep us in line.
Basically,I'm just send you this because yeah,I posted some stupid shit in there that made me look like an idiot. Everybody does stupid stuff sometimes. However, I was rather surprised and upset when I saw how offended you were,so I'm just trying to make things cool and wash it under the bridge. You're one of the senior guys on here I have a ton of respect for,due to your experience and knowledge.
The list that I posted in the thread was copy and pasted from a website I found and I posted that so everyone could get a laugh,and was not meant to be offending.
Everybody's different and comes from different backgrounds...we all have dislikes and likes,but we all haveone thing in common,and it's that we are all automotive enthusiasts. For us,we like trucks,that's why we're here. That's why I'm here. This is the only automotive related forum that I post on because all the other ones I have been on are just full of hate towards each other,something which I NEVER see on here. If anyone every says anything bad about anyone's ride on here,it's almost always constructive criticism,not "dude that looks like shit,you're a loser."
Anyways,sorry to get you all worked up over that,I just want to clear everything up and have you see where I was coming from.

Thank you for this email trust me when I say I didn’t think you intended to offend anybody. I have been around along time in the world we call minitruckin hell longer than a lot of the guys on mazdabscene have been alive or able to drive. I have seen the ups and down I really hate to see it going the way it is now because I don’t believe it can recover unless we as a group make some quick changes. Too many people are quick to bad mouth everybody else and what they do to their rides. I can tell you from much experience I have had people from other scene bad mouth my trucks over the years. Many from the minitrucking world have as well. So many thinks they know it all and can do it better or just want to voice their worthless opinions. I made a choice a long time ago to take the high road and not stoup to their immature level. All I ask is we don’t make general comments about entire groups or scene and keep all of our criticism positive if something is unsafe and you think you can help. Help by explaining how to fix it not question their knowledge or ability. Don’t add to a train wreck by adding crap off the internet that adds fuel to the fire. I tried to shut it down before it got out of hand and it just seems like a few blew it off and added to the unnecessary hate that was starting by adding smart ass comments about ricer or low riders. I know it sound cheesy but STOP all the hate of thing we don’t like or understand. When did minitruckers become elitists?
Trust me you were not the main person that has pissed me about this kind of stuff on mazdabscene or streetsource you were just the last one. The kids today need guidance from those of us who have been around awhile because I wont allow them or anyone else to destroy something that has giving me a lot of pleasure and pain over the last 20 years. I don’t know if you know this but I have owned my roadster since 93’ my truck has been around longer than 2 wives. And by best friend of 20 years who pushed me into mini trucks so many years ago by showing my a little magazine about lowered mintrucks burned to death in his slammed Nissan almost too the day today. So yes I am very passionate about this little thing we call minitrucking and I will defend it with both fists in the air if I have too. Keep on trucking and hopefully we can keep this ship afloat for us old timers and the new folks I hate to see it sink like the titanic it means to much too me.

well said, and i applaud both of you. mikey, it's nice to see someone willing to apologize when they feel they've done something wrong. sorry about your friend, cl. may he rest in peace, and i hope he's draggin' the streets of heaven.

This is why I am a part of this forum, Kudos to both of you for taking the high road. If we could all treat each other with this kind of respect, the minitruckin community as a whole would be moving to a better place.

My hat is off to both of you! Im with jester, its stuff like this that makes me want to be a part of this fourm. This is the only forum I go to and its what got me back into minitruckin! And its men like cl amd crazymikey that will keep this lifestyle alive for a long time to come!

when i started thoese tho threads the lowrider vs minis and the ricer i was just trying to get some options i didnt mean to start any probs in any way so if u guys want to blame me i take full responcability for my actions and im sorry to every one that got affended or pissed at some one else

Thanks guys,but mostly thanks to cl for understanding. Going back through the thread,yeah I said some dopey stuff,but then,many of us did.
When cl singled me out after I was just trying to make a funny reply and more or less called me a dumbass,I wasn't offended or upset by that,I was more concerned with why he was so upset to say something like that. Now,I realize I may have made hypocritical comments on here saying stuff like "we all need to respect each other and everyone's rides etc" and then I go and talk shit about tuners,which is exactly the opposite of what I was telling everyone witht he whole respect issue.
However,I don't deal with the tuner crowd,or any other crowd other than trucks,and we seem to be the only community that has a community watch program in effect.
Everything's cool with everyone here,but it's the topics like that one and the lowrider vs minitrucker thing that just start an uncontrollable fire and topics like that need not be posted because they are just breeding grounds for disagreement and dispute.

Nobody takes responsibility for what happened except the entire community because we were all involved in it. Nobody is pointing fingers at anybody.
However,a topic like tuners and rice is a sensitive topic. Heck,talking about ricers may as well be talking about abortions. You just don't really go there,but everyone has their 2 cents,yet everybody has their side that they're on and their feelings clash and there will never be a common ground or resolution.

that right there shows your maturity. instead of getting mad and making it even worse, you assessed the situation and figured out how to fix it. i applaud you for that.
