I guess I should throw in my two cents....
The new Dominator Series are a great 'bag when compared to the earlier 2B line-up!
The new bags are very impressive, the solid steel end plates make tightening of the hardware and fittings a real joy, no fear of stripping or pulling an insert out compared to the early 2B Series with the plastic top/bottom caps and the crimp band that was known to fail, and the thin/flexible sidewall they had.
As far as lift they will be the Slam RE-Series hands down...
The RE-7 and RE-8 'bags get a max of 8" lift compared to the Dominator D2600 that gets 10"+!!!
The overall construction alone is 100 times better than the old design, not to mention the increased ride height and usable extended travel. And by usable travel i mean something you can ride around at comfortably all day, and not just the fully extended, stretched to the max height of the bag.
From a business standpoint The Bag Shack has been progressively selling more Dominator 'bags compared to Slam 'bags....although there was a big shortage of Slam 'bags, but from the customer reviews I would have to say that the Dominator is worthy!!!
Hope that helps!
