Blue loctite? I actually bought some, but I found it is a thread LOCKER, not a thread SEALANT.

ya i have never useed locetite.. always thought it was a bad idea.. its like bringin a knife to a gun fight... i use pipe dope ( not the cheap 5 bucks a can stuff) when you open the can it should look lumpy.. and have a sand like texture to itand will cost you abotu 25 bucks.. but youll buy one can for you life....

man you guys are spending way too much. buy the little thread tape in a blue and white container ($0.89), wrap it around 4 or 5 times in the opposite way the thread goes in. tighten it down pretty good but dont go too far then back up any rounds, then it would leak.

WORD!! You beat me to the same suggestion....i try to just grab a few rolls when ever i think about it...works great every time and no leaks!

also if you use plummer's tape make sure you wrap the tape the same direction as the treads
