Peeves..

Just a couple of things that peeve me....

When did WHEELS become Rims? the rim, is the lip on which the bead sits.

When did Wheel Covers, become Hubcaps. We drive B's we know what hub caps are. Mazda comes stock with them.

Damn dude! Does it really matter in the end? We all know what it means. Not everyone is the same so we gotta respect that.

I'm not pointing at anyone.

I have a CL ad rolling, and I listed everything as Wheels & tires, and wheel covers.

I had this dick, "dude, what are wheel covers" and what size are your rims.

my reply was well, I would assume the rims are 14" as the wheels as listed in my ad are 205/70R14. But being that I'm not going to remove the tire to check the rim. BUt I dont understand why your concerned with the size of the rim, when you dont mount the tires onto just the rim, you mount them onto the wheel.

It just peeves me, that people assume that bad english is a good excuse. Oh and I was an English Major.

i kinda understand where your comin from. its just that its sed all over pop culture now so everyone sez 'rims'. i also know about hubcaps as my 96 caprice came with the bolton hubcaps (cop car).

im not an english major but it drives me nuts to read the paper and these people writing the big national articles can't spell!

If everyone jumped in front of a speeding truck, would you follow the crowd. Probably not. So why use the excuse "because everyone is doing it, there for it is ok for me" that makes you as ignorant as everyone else.

You dont need to be an english major, to appreciate our culture and language. Our countries are not a third world nation, where education isn't available to everyone.
