hey guys sorry but i have some dumb questions first what is the stock ride hight of a dawg? and how much of a drop do u get when u just flip the ball joints? and if i mono the back with 3" blocks do i need to adjust anything on the drive line? sorry guys just trying to do this truck right
Just flippin the ball joints gives you about an inch. You don't have to adjust anything for the drive line. All my mazdas I have had before ran an 3" blocks, cranked down torsions and flipped joints.
cool thx man do u happen to know the stock ride highth
Dont monoleaf it. Keep the overload spring too.
yea i was going to keep the overload
Stock ride height is rediculously high. On mine, the bottom of my front bumper valance was about 18" from the ground and the bottom of my bed by the licence plate was about 27" on stock wheels.
I eventually got it down low enough with a static drop to have my frame 3" from the ground and my front crossmember 1.5" off the ground, with my bumper valance being only about 7" from the ground.
In my sig,my truck is dropped with monoleafs with the overload,3" blocks, cranked torsions,AIM spindles and 205/40/17 wheels.
One more thing, keep your bumpstops. Cut the one for the rear in half. you don't want your frame smacking the axle or anything like that.
Yeah. I took mine out and I had so little travel I bottomed out all the time. I would recommend a 2" mini C-notch.
