One day last week a good friend of mine was on his way home form work. He was not drinking but the person that hit him was. This is the aftermath of her dumb A$$

thread post photo

So for all you guys that drink and drive burn that into your mind the next time you feel like getting drunk and going for a ride.

As for my friend he has a broken pelvis bone and his hips are all messed up. As for her she has a cracked head, broken back and a cut liver and is not looking to good I had heard she died 3 times yesterday and was brought back.

What is your opinion on Drinking and driving punishments. To me the laws are way to nice. There harsh to some but look at what's at stake. And I know some times peeps just don't think. But that could have been a family. Hell it could have been my family (3 kids) we drive down that same road all the time. You get caught once Drinking and driving you should have your car impounded and sold, and not be able to drive for 2 years. 2nd time your new car will get impounded and sold again and you server few months in jail. 3rd time car impounded and sold and you do a year in jail. 4th same as before but 5 years in jail. and you never get your license back. Just my thoughts what are yours

9 times out of 10 the guy or girl drinking and driving lives with minor cuts and scrapes. and usually the innocent person they hit gets extremely hurt or killed. good to hear your boy is not as bad as the dumbass that hit him. i can not stand people that drink and drive. in my opinion they should be hung. period. i have 3 daughters and if someone were to take them out they better hope like hell they take me out too because i have got a sick mind and some serious torcher comes to mind. it is too easy to hand the keys over, sleep in the car, call a cab or a friend. so why get behind the wheel? i have been drunk off my ass and never once thought about driving when in that state. i hate stupid people!

i hope your boy gets to feelin better soon.

I think letting them have there license back is to much, if you are going to break a law like that than you don't deserve to drive.

I work for a stereo shop here in town @ my shop we place and remove and calibrate the smart start system ( the blow n device) be4 you can start your car on average we do @ least 2-5 a day i think the government is to leaneate on this i think they need a ankle bracelet that has a chip in it and a monitor that measures your blood stream and the chip sends a signal to the car to tell the brain that you r sober and can drive... if you r simi impaired at all it shuts down and dont start and the brain will record a violation after you try while impaired after a certain amount of violations (5) per any 1 month period they go to jail for a minimum of 6 months on first violation and then 1 year on second and 2 on 3rd and so on .....

First off I would like to send your boy my best wishes. My self and my buddies drink quite often and get pretty hammered once and awhile but we always know we can find someone that is sober to drive us home. I value those friends deeply. I hate to see people endanger other peoples lives because they are to proud to call someone to drive them home. Everyone has cell phones these days it not like you cant find a phone and if you friends aren't willing to pick you up in my eyes they aren't a true friend.I honestly think if you are caught drinking and driving your licenses should be suspended for a good amount of time if not forever.

Definately NOT a fan of drunk driving and the lives that can be / have been lost because of it. I can appreciate dragginmazda86's response - it fits the Budweiser theme "drink responsibly". Best wishes to your boy and with luck he may be able to drag his new s-10 some day.

oh man,he is lucky he didnt get hit on the driver's side! I wish him all the best in a full recovery.

As for the lady...should have let her die on the table. I have no tolerance for drunk driving. It should be a One and Only offense. Get caught once and you just screwed yourself for good. Banned for life,IMO.

I have a quick story for all of you. A freind of mine that I met in my teens and we grew up together married another freind of mine when they got into their twenties. It was a very happy marriage and they were one of those couples that it was just obvious that they had something special. Well one day a couple of years after getting married they were on their way out to see his parents togther when they came to a 4 way stop. While sitting at the four way stop waiting his turn, he grabbed his wife's hand looked over at her and said "I love you" then pulled out. The next thing he knew he was waking up on the pavement and when he opened his eyes he saw his wife lying there and then theypulled the sheet up over her. Turns out a drunk driver ran the stop at high rate of speed and killed her when he impacted the side of her car. That is the last thing he remembers. I sat there tears streaming down my face as my freind who had had this happen to him 2 days before told me his personal story. Not someone else, not a story on TV, a real live person told me and had it happen to them. Now tell me drunk driving is no big deal. Now tell me the laws are strict enough. I lost one freind and had to watch another deal with the loss of the love of his life up close and personal. You had better believe it cemented my already formed belief that any idiot that knowling drives while intoxicated desrves to lose their driving privileges. Period. Do not pass go do not collect two hundred dollars. Choices people think about them in all aspects of life...
