i found this bug locally and use to love seeing it when i was little well its changed owners and doesnt run now, but does have a motor i dont know the condition of it needs body work and interior work and its pretty low overall i would say its pretty straight and im interested in it and i know he will sell it, my question is what should i offer him? i dont know that much about these cars but i am really startin to love them

sorry thats the only pics i got of it the drivers side is in the same condition as the passenger side, 10 or 12 years ago this car was sweet and i would like to fix it back up, i think it would make a fun project

that one looks a lil rough i had a 68 baja that i paid $600 for and it was in great shape other then the pass. side floor being rusted to shit. ill have to see if i can dig some pictures up.... i know i posted them on here somewhere

i paid 600 for this one but it was stock when i bought it.... only a dent in the drivers door and rusted pass. side floor.... wished id kept it now.... makes me sick to my stomach seeing the pictures.... it was fun as hell to drive

only pictures i have is after the build (mostly bolt on parts)

Looks pretty rough, I'd offer $500 tops if I really really wanted it. How complete is it? You have to remember that VW parts aren't cheap. A half decent looking running and driving car will usually start in the $1300-$1500 and go up to around $6-7000 just to give you an idea of worth.

It looks to be a 65 or a 66 I would offer 500 no more than 650 to 700. I gave 500 for mine back in Jan of 06



Parts are not to bad just depends on how good a job you wont to do. Here are a few web sites for parts

And the reason I say up to 700 is cuase its a pre 67 the pre 67 bugs are more sought after than the 68 and up bugs 67 is when they made some of the biggest changes to the bug SO a 67 is a one off year and very hard to find complete. the 65 and 66 are to some the last "GOOD LOOKING" Bugs.

like brand new. the motor was rebuilt shortly befor i bought it and only had around 250 miles on it. cranked every hit of the key unless it was really cold out
