Damn... I'm really sad to hear that. I've heard of some 79-83 Toyota California specials or some shit... that have chrome taillight bezels or some crazy shit like that. I'm really into rare versions for not rare vehicles. El Camino Black and Royal Knights and the Choo Choo Customs ones... shit like that.

Yah the only really rare model for these trucks is the 4x4 longbed. Only 800 or so were brought here from what Ive read.

I was wondering about that the other day. I didn't think that I had ever seen one.

Or those convertible Dakotas... those are pretty rare... even more rare then Monte Carlo SS AeroCoupes. There's a drop top Dakota and an AeroCoupe running around my town.

Yeah, the most special IMO is the 90-93 SE-5 "sport" That was just a blacked out trim package, "custom" three spoke steering wheel, power steering, stripes. etc. The LE had the cool chrome package. The dealers did put some special paint packages here in California. Usually graphics over stock paint. One local dealership had like 20 of the same trucks with same graphics and all of us that were in the scene at the time kinda made fun of them. They would roll into a cruise night and we would say "Awsome dealer truck dude!"

I think the mazda dealers here did the same thing with paint. Never seen 2 trucks with the same paint or se-5 graphics.

Oh no shit? AeroCoupes were only made in 86 and 87 I think. Monte Carlo SS with a Camaro style back window, Grand Prix 2+2 was the same thing but with a more aerodynamic front end then stock. Choo Choo Custom El Camino was a El Camino with a Monte SS front end. M-80 was a 1980 Malibu with a spoiler and special decals. Convertible Dakotas were only made in 1989-91 I think only like 2000 made, and only 7 or 8 in 1991.

Yeah I thought the decals on my truck were kinda interesting.
