I would stay away from Bayliner.....Unless you get one that is really new!
Bayliner didn't have the best name back in the day, they actually made some pretty shoddy boats! I know it sounds weird, because they are probably the most widely known boat manufacturer, but its true...
Just something I gathered while boat searching.....

Well I assume you are looking into a cuddy cabin style?
The 80's SeaRay are awesome boats, they are built very solid...
Crownline, Stingray, Doral, Rinker are also awesome brands...
Also, buy a used boat unless you are near a large water way...Dealers in the cities that are not near a fairly large water way will charge you outrageous amounts...You will pay way too much...
You can barter with a dealer if he is near a large water way..

Bayliner didn't build very structural boats, the fiberglass was cheap and the structures themselves weren't square...

We are about 15 min from the nearest boat ramp at the resevoir. and only 2/12 to 3 hours away from the ocean. I love the old wood cabin cuddy's of the 60 and 70s but here in MS it is way to friggin hot. I have been told that the cabin part never gets used because of the heat and humidity.
Hey did you see my post about STC?
