pointless thread

anybody else here ever been hit by broken pieces of a cut off wheel cause i got hit right below my damn eye by one today that shit hurts

Yah I had a new wheel explode as soon as I turned the grinder on once. Im glad I was wearing a sweatshirt or it would have taken a piece out of me.

yeah this was a brand new wheel there was like three pieces that came out i changed wheels and through that bitch in the trash

and 5 bucks says you werent wearing safety glasses. the buddies i hang out with at the shop that do the vdubs never wear safety glasses and im always sayin wear them. two days ago my buddy had the same thing happen and it hit him in the eye. he had just closed his eyes before it hit him so it didnt get in his eye. needless to say everytime ive seen him since he has been wearing them.

oh believe me i had them on i had a buddy that was grinding something on his old truck when a spark flew into his eye turned out the spark was actually a piece of hot metal that got stuck in it

ive had my eyes blistered from welding and i had a homemade bomb blow up in my face. had to go to the hospital for the bomb. had 2nd and 3rd degree burns all over my face. all facial hair was burnt off. had to slit my eye lids back open. and proceeded to take a que tip with solevant and scrub the black powder and other additives out of my eye until clean. sucked really bad. i do all i can to protect my eyes while working now.
