Sup guys?! I've not posted on here in awhile, so I thought I would say hi!! By the way guys, I got me another set of wheels last week. It's a(n) 88 S10 Blazer 4x4. It has the 4.3 V6, auto, two door. It has like 199xxx miles on it, don't smoke except when you first start it or after it has sat for most of the day. I figure it may be the valve seats or something, but its cool. Regardless I figured it was worth the 800 bucks I paid for it. Also the transmission was rebuilt about 3 months ago. so..... do yall think I got a good deal just from what I've said about it?
i think so, they are nice and the 4 wheel drive is awesome on them, i have the sam problem with my buddies s10 on start up imm pull the heads this winter on them and see whats up with it. strong motors too lots of power behind em
thanks for the info!marcus you better get us some pics up!
my girls dad has one and it shoots a little puff out on start up but runs like a champ. and the 4x4 is pretty good on those things. unless it got worse and its a beater i wouldnt worry about it. its valve stem seals is why is smokes on start up. overnight the cool down and open up the crack in them, letting oil leak into the cylinders. you fire it up and it burns it. once they warm up they swell up and close off the small crack, thus no more smoke
