im thinkin about gettin one. anyone on here have one? im not lookin for anythig spacific just somethin that runs good to cruise round town in. im not findin much on ebay as far as an average price goes. there all like 4k and i know i can get a cheaper one. im just curious on how many of yall have experence with them -bf

I used to have one, but it was built off a bug's chassis. 4k is average tho.

damn!! i thought i could get one way cheaper...that sucks. it was eather bag my truck or lift my truck and take the bag $$ and buy a sandrail. ahh i donno yet. ill look in cycle trader. -bf

why not buy a cheap 68 to 78 std bug and build you one You can pick up running bugs for cheap and just build you a tube frame and go to town.

sand rails are the poo! VW's were my first love, and have been searching lately to find another one. Good luck on your hunt and keep us informed as to whats going on.

hey mullet next time u r coming through to go snowboarding you need tostop in cuz i do the mazda thing and a buddy of mine only does vw's hes restored two bugs in the past two years and we just bought a 1970 bus out of statesville that we are going to start restoration and little customizing on. heres one of them thats nearly finished. crappy pic though
