So I should hopefully be done baggin the truck soon. But I was thinking while everything is apart I should body drop it. How many hours do you think it takes to do a body drop. I'm trying to figure out if I want to do it myself or if I should just get it done somewhere. What do you think a place would charge just for a body drop to the rocker? Also has anyone heard of any places in IL that do this?? I'm not quite sure if I'm ready to tackle the job of body dropping. Any insight?

They would probably charge 2500 or so to bd it to the rocker. I would figure maybe 100 hours to do it properly.

yeah elbine is right most places get around 1000 an inch for traditional and more for a stockfloor

not to sound dumb but what is the difference between stock floor and traditional?

Stockfloor you build a new frame under the cab. Traditional you cut the floor out of the body and drop it down and then weld up the gaps.

wouldn't suggest doing this yourself with your lack of knowledge and welding.... could be problems down the road that could be catastrophic

yea it sucks because there really isn't much of a scene out here. if i had somebody i knew that has actually done it before I would feel more comfortable.

I never understood the whole $1k per inch thing. I start at $3k for a standard cab mini for traditional.
