baggin quad

My brake line bracket punctured my bag on the front driver side and the passenger front is damaged so im replacing them. So what i was think is some how patch the bag(any ideas would be great) and built a setup for the front of my quad. I would not repair a bag and put it on my truck but i live on a farm so i thought instead of let it sit build something for my quad. i have a picture on my computer of a bagged quad and am guna use that for reference.

Some input i would like is i have a little 2 gallon air tank, im going to b running 125psi since its just a light quad, how many hits do u think i could get to 2 re-6 bags. Im thinking at least one maybe two. im on a budget so im going to try and use whats handy at home.

Compressor wise im just going to be using my home compressor to fill the tank and not have a on board compressor, thats why im wondering how many hits i could get off a 2 gallon tank

Umm you cant fix a bag if it has a hole in it.

2 gal isn't much air....

2 gals is def not much, MAYBE go up down up, a compressor is def gonna be wanted, and a bag with a hole, shall always be a bag with a hole

its just an idea for when i get bored but i will let you guys know how repairing the bag goes. And im just making it for fun not permanent so it will be fine to just have it go up down up and then back down that will be 2 hits.

If a 3 gal tank will get my Yota up and goin then a 2 gal tank should be more than sufficient for a 4 wheeler ( assuming that is what a quad is ). You probably will not even need 125 psi...for something small and lightweight like that...60 - 80 psi? You might be able to just run 2 valves, both front and back up and down at the same time. It sounds like you are talking about using a small cheap compressor....so long as you dont mind it being slow and dont push it too much, it will probably suffice. As for the bag with a hole...you COULD always try a tire repair plug....but its worth noting that car tires typically run 35-40 psi and the plug is where holes usually happen...on the tread which seems to be the strongest part of the tire...on a bag....where you will be plugging the hole, it flexes and stretches there...but hey, a plug kit will run you a few bucks....not like ur investing much and IF by some freak chance it worked then hey....thats cool. Give it a shot and let us know what happens!

thats wut i was thinking the hole is like the size of the end of a pen and i was thinking of getting a plug for a big rig tire so it holds better and ya i was thinking instead of letting it sit and go to waste why not try to fix to it. and for the compressor im just going to fill it at my shop with the compressor in there its a decent size i think about 10-15 gal. or so. Im only doing it for fun so if it works then great if it don't then its not that big of a deal. o and i only got 2 bags that im putting on the front and i will just link them and just use 2 valves(fill and dump)

if there is room or you can fab a way to do it, run one bag up front and one out back...more than enough in one bag to lift the quad

ya thats a really good idea but first im going to have to see if i can fix the bag because what you said about the bag expanding and moving. I didn't really think of that but im still guna give it a go cuz you never know and its not like its guna be like expensive to do.

What i could probably do is put the bag above the upper arms in the front and make 2 levers going to the upper arms on each side and as the bag inflates it pushes out which will make the lever setup push down on the arms.

What kind of quad are you going to try doing this to?
