weber

got my weber in today and reading the installation guide i was wonting to know what is a dashpot assembly it wonts me to remove it. does anybody have pic of there weber on the truck and do i or can i get rid of the egr pic would help if ya got them thanks

For both of my Mazdas with Webers I created a flat plate of metal to block off the area of the intake where the EGR was attached.

Not sure what the dashpot assembly is, but can tell you that the factory carb, all vacuum hoses and wires to the carb get removed with the exception of the yellow (I think) wire that goes to the choke. The only vacuum line that gets re-used is the one from the distributer.

I think there may be another thread on this topic in the engine section. Remember discussing those nasty little red caps

ok got it put on damn that is a big boost.got one more ? its telling me to hook up the original float bowl vent hose what is that i dont have know more vacuum hoses that big

the only vacuum lines i have hooked up is the big one for charcoal canister and one for the distributor. and then ofcourse the gas line and that is it.
