i thought you could reuse condoms if you turn them inside out
Whats a condom?!?!? <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" title="Sad" /><!-- s:( -->
Damn. I aint that dedicated at all. My Ubolts are bent to hell. I'll replace then when it gets warm.
Ohhh, ohh, o, oh! Man! Ugh..
So, I was fortunate enough to get the mom to give me a ride to schmucks. I spent another 45min. looking for ubolts. I found that a Napa had the right ones, but at the price of a total of $56!
So, we head home on roads full of berms, bumps of icey hell and an intersection that almost caused us to wreck into a garbage truck a block from my house!
Well, I finally got the ubolts in and had to cut 2" off of each for a total of a 6" ubolt.
I got my torsions cranked up as well, and boy that was alot easier to do than the ubolts! Took a torch, heated up the bolts and melted the snow, then dowsed it with wd-40. Took a 15min. lunch break and then cranked on them with my impact gun!
The back tires are at a psi of 32.5 and so is the front. Give or take a few .1's of a pound. I moved the truck to park closer in the driveway and once again measured the height. I got the bars cranked up as far as they go and it sits a half inch higher than the back.
I need a level floor to adjust them right, but I don't think les schwab would let me do that when I go in for the alignment...
Well, after all was said and done, I'm certainly tires, COLD, and wetter than a dog! But its all good now, I'm inside sippin' on some starbucks!
BTW, it feels really different to have to lift my feet to get into the truck now, LOL!
not a good idea.... you should of lifted your truck befor turning the bolts... also heating them weakens them.... thats alot of weight to be lifting with that lil bolt.... hopefully it didn't damage them.... if one breaks it going to slam the front end down hard..... hopefully that doesn't happen
lol stock height sucks...but it rides much better, haha.
Good to hear everything's good now. What size tires are you running?
Well, for one, I was'nt sitting there torching them up until it was red hot, lol! It was only enough to melt the ice. There was still some ice left on there after.
Secondly, I DID lift my truck up and THEN cranked on them! I apologize for not saying that the first time.
And amazingly, the bolts turned just fine! They were'nt rusted and no problems cranking on them! Unlike some people.
I actually kinda like the height on my truck. More clearance and probably will ride better. I just hope I have some good life left in my shocks! Heck, I can work on my truck without jacking it up two times now before I bag it!
I'm running 195/75/14's. Which are stock tire size for the mazda. I hope the misalignment wont affect my driveability tomorrow to get to Schwabs...
I wanna go out and driver her in the snow, lol!
actually,205/75/15 is stock,but yeah,it'll ride nicer now.
I know on kermit, one t-bar cranked nice an d smooth, but the other was tighter than a virgin on prom night.
Were both wrong, 205/75/14!
Hey, I'll try and post pics tomorrow, lol..
