So I got my navis mounted and big stop sign came into play, I tinkered with the front and the lug nuts are about 3/4 of the way on the studs on the front but when you put the rims on the rear they only go on about 1/4 of the way solow93 recommended tuner lugs but im curious why does the front go on so far and not the rear.

Will I be okay with 3/4 of the lug nut on the stud up front and should I just get longer studs on the rear?

You only need the lug nut to go on as wide as the lug nut is, What a tire shop told me...

I would want as many threads as I could get in the lug nut, the more threads, the more accurate the torque on them will be & less likely that they will be to back off.....tuner lugs, what are those? never heard of them.....now tuner lug nuts, they are smaller od so that they will fit the smaller diameter lug nut opening of the tuner style wheels, but that won't have any affect on how many threads the nut will bite because the stud will only stick out so much from the thickness of the wheels mounting surface, which is thicker than oem, I ran into the same thing with my motegi's (some of it had to do with the 6 to 5 lug transformation) they were thicker than the centerlines I had, anyhooo, while I had the hubs off, and the shafts out, I got some longer studs I put them in the place of the oems, now I get a full nut on them instead of the 1/2 that I was getting before.

Ya I believe i will just get longer studs for the rear...... but why is the front okay? I feel comfortable with 3/4 of the lug nut on the stud up front. But with 1/4 of it on in the rear I am worried.

could disc brakes up front and drums on the rear be the difference of one being shorter then another?

I had a simular problem when I swapped rear ends in my 87 b22. I put in a 84 rear end and the studs were way too short. After some research I found that the nerl is the same on the axels but the 86-93 stud is a 1/2 inch longer. I also got some lug nut that went through the rim also.

So should I just get new lug nuts or put longer studs on the back?
