I drove around with no bed for a while. They do require your license plate to be securely fastened here, so I made a bracket that bolted to the frame. I got pulled over like that twice, and they never once said anything about needing a bed or mudflaps.

laws are diff everywhere, I just know that here they are real sticky about tires throwing shit. Hence the flaps or trailer fenders. The 4x4 guys get in shit all the time for the tires sticking out past the fenders

Most states (and I suspect provinces as well) have rules that govern how far the bumper must be from the ground,how license plates are to be displayed,and how much lighting is needed and where.A call to your local DMV should get most of your questions answered.OR just take a chance on a big ole cop giving u a big ole ticket for multiple moving violations.Ouch.Lol.BJ

I think you can get away with it with the aforementioned items. I did it for some time, but my hillbilly cops never bothered me.

they couldnt care less down here in georgia, i ran without a bed for i bet 6 months. didnt even get a 2nd glance from the cops!
