Its true the electric pumps are better at pushing than they are at pulling. So you will want to mount it close to the tank.

I think the best bet to have a system that works really well would be to build a fuel cell that uses the stock sending unit. Or find one that is close to the same depth as the stock unit, and make an adapter plate.

Ya I was thinking that but The mazda is gonna get backhalfed to and a fuel cell would just look or so pretty with a painted frame but I guess since I still got the rear of my bed I can just raise it and use the stock gas tank....
