madmazda.....yep.

nytrdr24......yeah man i know what you mean as well. the only thing i have in my interior are the gauges, seats, and a cheap ass radio and 6X9's. that is about it. haha. i remember 10 years ago when i watched a couple of guys i was in h.s. with dragging as they left the h.s. parking lot, ever since then i have been hooked, but like i said i haven't had the money until now to do it. my wife and i have been talking about it so everything is cool with her. when we get are taxes back this year we are paying of just about all of the bills. so between that and all of the over time i have been working, things are finally working in my favor. it won't be complete for a show are anything but atleast i will be able to have a ton of fun with her between the flame thrower and bags.

haha hell yeah, i actually got into the import tuner scene for all of about 2 min. man i am glad that didn't last long. haha. hopefully one of these days i will drop a v8 in her and just destroy some of these hondas around. man that would be sweet. maybe even some of these mustangs and camaros too. haha. i wonder how far you are from down here in south texas, i would love to see that thing run when you get it all complete.

with the right gearing in the rear i ought to be able to run a few stock camaros & mustangs, esp with the hp/weight ratio going from @ 50lbs per 1 hp to @20-25 lbs per 1 hp.....i'd like to keep the rear w 3.91's & up the fifth gear in the tranny that way i have a higher top end & won't be turning 3 grand @ highway speed....i could go with 3.73's & keep fifth the same with some penalty off the line but a better top end.
don't get me wrong on the tuner cars...i sorta like them cause they are customizing too, but they all seem to be stuck up a$$es & think their you know what don't stink!
as for how far...it takes me @ 6-7 hr to get to mobile, al....then it would be @ 5 hr to houston...so figure it from there & that should be close....only been thru texas once...amarilo on the north end when my mom caried me & my bro to new mexico to visit some friends....long trip 27 hours for two kids...me & my bro were about to kill each other...i think mom was about ready to kill us too haha!

damn man, i wish i new that much about engines. i have been helping my dad put them together since i was a kid but never really tried to figure everything out. i can troubleshoot them pretty good and pull things apart and put them back together without any problems. it is just all the specs that confuse the hell out of me. i use to love the look of the imports but it seems now if you don't have some huge rediculous wing on a front wheel drive car than your car isn't good enough. like you said most import drivers are stuck so far up their a$$e$ they don't know anything else. i love anything custom and i do mean anything. a 12 hr drive isn't far at all for me. when i was stationed in north carolina the wife and i would pack the kid in the s.u.v. and drive to tejas on a 4 day weekend. of course we only did that once, won't ever do that again. about 21 hrs one way and did it a few times.

don't know that much, just what i have found out researching & limited practical exp......i've tinkered with engines here & there on vehicles & on motorcycles, it's sorta like a couple of old sayings
1. i know just enough to be dangerous!
2. jack of all, master of none!
haha!

well i got a price today on getting the exhaust raised up closer to the cab and exiting out of the side of the bed. about 100 to 150 bucks. it is going to look super sweet with the flame thrower. as soon as i get it done i will post up some videos of the killer flame thrower.
