i will have to take a pic of my oil pan off the 83. i was just riding low, not dragging this time and out of no where a speed bump jumped out in front of me. put a big dent in the pan and cracked it. the oil pans on the 83 and 84s are not protected like the 86-93s. luckily i had a spare and just swapped out the tanks.

i really want to see more pictures of that 83 in general

amen to that brother, I plate my crossmember all the time wiht 1/2" plate because the oil pan is so close without no plate it starts dragging into the control arms.

yeah man mine too. i really need to z it to get rid of the control arm problem. maybe one day i will get a chance. i welded 2 - 1/4" plates together and then welded them to the crossmember. sits kind of high when i lay her out but i've got a lot to drag through now.
