Definately bolt on drag blocks, as for blocks not throwing as much sparks as frame or body mine will throw just as much as frame.

So do you just drill a hole through the frame where you want the blocks to be?

Where do you guys usually put your blocks (on the frame)?

How long do blocks usually last?

sounds like your welds didnt penetrate at all, and whats the difference ina bolt snapping thats holding your drag blocks on the frame. Don't get my wrong I plate my frame with a 1/4" plate but I make sure its not gonna snap off and possibly go through someones grill and so on.

No, you do not drill a hole thru your frame, theres no way possible it would be able to with stand the abuse it would take. First hit of it on the ground and it would snap and prolly shear your frame open.

Most people put them on the side of there frame in the rear right in front of the leaf spring hangers.

Depends on how switch/drag happy you are.

Yep...I tell everyone I know to stay far away from trailer balls....

There is an article in this months MT that you should read about dragging trailer balls...

I would bolt them personally...

How are you supposed to mount the brackets to the frame for the blocks?

Do you just weld the bracket piece to the frame, and then the block just bolts on to the bracket?

where do you get that bracket? make it or buy it? plus you guys are suggesting leaving them a bit loose incase of bumps? Also what grade bolts would do the job?

I understand the picture and how the block mounts, but how are you supposed to mount the bracket to the frame?

I see it has adjustable spots for if you bolted the bracket, but you were saying not to drill into the frame to bolt the bracket to it, so what are you supposed to bold the bracket too then?

(And I'm guessing the bolt holding the block just threads into the block?)
