What if I had a +38mm offset?
That would put me really close....
Hmmm...

I have thought about the problem with laying out so I had a friend take off the big tire and put a 225 35 20 tire on and layed it out and it missed the inner part of the box by 1/2 an inch and thats before I have machimed the rim and I stilll have 2 inches before I hit the frame so I think it will work out fine. For your question about the yota axle I can't say but I know with the pathfinder rear end it helped out.
what's all this figuring about dev?? you gonna put some dubs on the ole mazda??????
What year Toyota axle? 84-95 axles are only 1.750" shorter than a Mazda axle, which may clear. A 79-83 axle, is 3.750" narrower than the stock Mazda axle, and will tuck damn near any wheel. I think the 79-83 axle is a good width for Mazdas. With Escalades (if they were 5 lug, think of a wheel with the same offset) your tire would be 1.5" away from the frame on a traditional notch.
You forgot about the extra .5" for the mounting lip on the rear which doesn't matter for offsets but does for backspacing. So 6.128" of backspacing, 3.372" of frontspacing. the Infinitis have 3.5" of frontspacing. If you can get the Infinitis to fit I think you can get those 20's to fit, especially using a narrower Toyota axle.
Good call...
Hmmm..
I think I will be safe then...
I guess we will see?

the wheels i had were 20x8.5 with a + 40 offset with a 225/30/20 and i had a 2 inch bd
in the back i have a stock rearend and the tires just touched the top of the bedside when layed out, and in the front i have aim spindles which push the wheel out abit and i had rub issues
when i order my new wheels i'm gonna get either a 20x7 or 20x7.5 with the most positive offset possible, like +45,
if u got a +35 wheel i don't think there is any way you'll tuck, and the +38 is risky as well
okay what would +45 be inches then.
on a 7.5" wide rim +45mm offset would be damn near @ 5.5" BS
