its called del dot here. yea thats normally how it is. 1 guy working, 5 guys holding shovels doing nothing. 2 guys in there trucks talking on the phones, and 10 "special" people holding slow signs.

im sittin here picturing all of them just standin there with there thumb in there butt laughin my ass off. i mean what do you apply for when you get the job. shovel holder upper. or sign holder? i mean really do you apply for the sign holder? or is it some bullshit term like traffic control specialist, that way it sounds like there doin somethin.

no man its all part of duties. u actually have to got t oschool to hold those signs. not school like college, but a school that teaches u the right way to manuver traffic. remeber those dumbfucks they put at flagging, they hold your life in thier hands, one fuck up and BAM someone gets hit or hurt, we actually had a guy get fired cuz he was found at fault when he sent his traffic through and one of our dumptrucks came out the setup and tboned the shit outta this blazer, sent the blazer in the setup right in between 2 of our guys and leaped into a corn field. the bumper of the truck pierced through the blazer mid fender all the way to the back half. cutting the guy from mid calf to lower stomach, fuckt him up purty good

dayuum that sucks. i mean i dont see how they do the job though honestly. i mean standing in one or two spots all day for 8 hours in boots on asphault not moving except spinnin a sign. i mean how much more boring can you get. by the end of the day i would want to blow my head off. even though im sure they get to see some fine women daily.

hahah i aint gonna lie, it sux, but it has its benefits!!! the women!!! i dont know how many ive been flashed wit titties. ok ok 3 times but hell i aint complaining. i mean come on how many jobs u know of where u go to work and maybe 1 or 2 days outta the week u really bust ur ass, the rest u just ride the road picking up debris. and in my case im an inspector, ive been with the state for 6yrs now, 7 in november and i sit in a truck and watch the contractors work. if they do bad i let em know. this job is gravy!!! i love it

well it isnt hard inspecting in your area i assume. hell you already know where you've drug the piss out of the road.
