Question about headers

Thanks again for all the help some of you have given me. As far as a header, what's the real difference between a coated and uncoated? Is it really worth the extra 100 bucks and the extra 2 week wait for the coated?

yes...the coated header will not only last longer, but reduce underhood temperature a good amount....as well as helping to speed up the airflow in the exhaust system.... that is a very worthwhile option.

I bought the ones without coating, and they look gross now... within a week all the flat black paint burned off of them... I hear you can spray them with BBQ paint, but I'm to lazy to take them back off right now.
