could you tell me the top speed of all gears i dont have a speedo cable and would enjoy how fst im goin haha. thanks -bf
This' what i usually do, it may vary on person, but i usually just listen to my Engine, and then becomes a habit, but anyways....1st gear - 0-20kms, 2nd gear - 20-40kms, 3rd gear - 40-65kms, 4th gear - 65-90kms, 5th gear...Umm well 90-145kms, but i wouldnt recommend it. Lol...But like i said, it may vary, depending on the person. and Engine size....
i heard a new joke today...
A guy from Kentucky asks a question about speed (not the drug), and a guy from Canada gives a great responce... except for the fact that the guy from KY dosen't understand a bit of it because he uses MpH not kmh HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
guess you had to be there
best one i've heard all day haha! you ain't right mullet....
fann, here's a calculator link, just fill in the blanks...
mullet..damn man i was just thinkin the same thing, but you left one part of it out, then the helpful floridean helps out by pointing that out. thanks. -bf
Well i dunno what it would be in MPH, Convert it maybe? i dunno....Someone within the US or even with a MPH gauge please answer this dudes question.
Thats funny really it is but whats funner is that the mazda speedos have bouth mph and kph on them (the smaller numbers on the inside those are kph) so yes he is in Canda and his main numbers are kph but it will still be helpfull for him to get used to it to just look at the little numbers DOA
In Canada the kms numbers are bigger than the mph numbers, and vice-versa in the USA.
Looking at the big picture however, you have to admit that a "base 10" measuring system is FAR superior to the hodge-podge still in use in the USA and a few other anglophone countries.
For example, how many feet in a mile? Well, you have to memorize the answers... and I think it's something like 4500 or so??
However, if you ask me how many meters in a kilometre, well that's easy... one thousand.
How many ounces or pints in a gallons? Who the heck knows... but how many decilitres in a litre? Ha! That's easy, there are 10 decilitres in a litre.
I'm glad Canada, like most European and African countries, adopted the Metric system. It makes my life much easier.
What's even funnier is that the US military trains all their personnel in the Metric system so they can easily integrate and work with other armies worldwide. Heck, the M16 round is even measured in millimetres.
Cheers !!
^^^^^^^Well thats interesting,^^^^^^^^ But it still didnt answer the dude questions.
First gear: 0-20 kmh / 0-12.5 mph
Second gear: 20-40 kmh / 12.5-25 mph
Third gear: 40-60 kmh / 25-37.5 mph
Fourth gear: 60-80 kmh / 37.5-50 mph
Fifth gear: 80 kmh / 50 mph and higher
If I know I'll be running at 60 km/h for awhile I usually shift from 3rd right into 5th and then drop back into 4th if I need to accelerate a little faster.
I trust this helps.
