a minitruck is,well,a small pickup. I'll consider the Colorado/Canyon minitrucks because they are the S10 replacements, and the S10 is one of the foundations of the minitruck world.
Those little Mazdas are soo awesome. But here's a REAL Mini truck. The old Austin Mini Pickup. I helped my grandpa restore a 1979 Mini 1000 a few years ago. Ever since,I've wanted a Mini Pickup. I'd love to bag one because I've never seen it done.
These are unibody, with front and rear subframes, front wheel drive and most of the pickups came with an 850cc 4 cylinder. Lots of guys in England do them up with motors bored out to 1380cc and turbos and make them go like mad because the trucks only weigh like 1500lbs.
This should give you a rough idea of the size with a bike in the back. The standard Minis are 10 feet long, the pickups come in a tad under 12 feet I beleive.
Oh,and what is a minitruck? Any small, compact or light PICKUP. Not an SUV,not a crossover,a true pick up truck. A Honda Ridgeline is not a minitruck. Anything smaller than a Colorado/Canyon I would consider a minitruck,so S10,Mazdas,Hardbodies,Mighty Max,Tacos,SR5s,Frontier,Ranger,old Datsuns etc. If you want to get technical,I'll consider Blazers and Jimmys because they're based on S10s.
