Well I did it today... Lots of work.

Started off by mounting my new shocks:



Then cutting off my old bumper brackets:



Then I started preping for POR15:










I used 1/2 a can on the first bit. I still have to go over it tommorow in daylight and paint all the areas I missed. Went on very well. It is quite runny.

In total, the 2 quarts cost me $135

hey bro, did you sand blast that thing or something first? if not you may want to start over if you want it to last.

POR 15 works best on rusted surfaces. Apperntly.

I did degrease it and wirebrush everything off it.

ok cool man, just saw all that rust and was like oh damn. looking good bro. does that stuff turn surface rust into black primer?

It actually like sticks to the rust and seals it in... Won't let it ruat anymore either. And it is crazy hard, impossible to chip. Weirdest stuff tho. You have to refigerate it to make it last longer and all this weird stuff. You can get topcoat for it by the same company that comes in silver but I'm sure you could paint it with anything...

I like black tho.

This stuff also will not come off skin. Package says, and I quote "POR 15 can only be removed from skin with TIME."

Oh and by the way, I have it ALL over me!

hahaha, that sucks man. sounds like some crazy stuff, i don't think that i have ever heard of it before. hope it works out for you. nothing like a fun project.

Always fun to get dirty... not fun to go to work the next day. Its all down my arms even tho I wore gloves and it was all over my chin but I scraped the skin off LOL.
