I got 225/65/15's on the rear now. I wonder how much difference the 265/70/15's (or 75's) would make?
I suppose one thing I was wondering is, if it would positively affect me driving on the highway at 65-75mph? Meaning will it lower my rpms or raise them or have no affect. See I don't plan on "climbing" anything yet lol, so I'm just wondering what my city driving would be like, and my highway driving.
Isn't there a site that helps you know the difference tire size plays on your gearing? Like a calculator of sorts
Ok I found a ratio calculator:
To do the math it's:
New tire Diameter/Old Tire Diameter X Old Axle Ratio = New Axle Ratio
Calculator located at: They also have a Metric Tire Calculator to figure your diameter.
So uh, I still don't know what this actually means for the street lol.
The way I read ^^ is I would have better highway running vs. city driving correct? Not a crawler for sure though
Haha they have an ideal ratio as well. I looked at it and it shows my approximate, (cuz tire size 1/2" off), 65mph rpm to be 3163, but with the 30" tires I would be around 2584 due to the "new" ratio of 3.55 vs 3.9 giving me better fuel economy on the highway and a lower "rev" at 65mph which is something I desire.
Just interesting Though I still hope to one day play on some trails, maybe not mud or rocks, just trails a little rougher than I could probably do now
This link was from MazdaTrucking.com's forums:
It's SolidB2600's SAS B-Series:
It's a serious truck lol.
In case this link for parts by Fabtech hasn't been listed, let me list it
3" lift $880, not the cheapest but looks like quality for remaining 2wd. I've emailed them about the 2" rear leafs.
^^ That has to be a body lift there to wouldn't ya think? (see his framerails?)
lol goodness all my posts ok I'm not posting this one till I'm done tonight.
Found this "kit" by Trailmaster:
I just emailed to find out the details on this kit. 2wd/4wd? Contents etc.
Found [url=|MAZDA|B2200|1993||L4|2.2|||S]THIS ONE also. So I emailed them too.
Seems all I can find, and I'm tired now
If i had a 4wd Mazda I'd Lift it.
YA I remember seeing this on a site - and it has a 3" body lift in it along with the torsion bars and upper arms.
thats for a Ranger....
look at the years it says it fits....83-97.....83-85 and 94-97 mazdas use different suspensions than 86-93 mazdas......
rangers didn't change from when they were first introduced till 97
