how can i keep my valves from freezing in the winter

hair dryer.. and make sure u empty your tank or have a water seperator.. cause ur going to have water.. another way is if you ran an edc (engine driven compressor) because u will run a water seperator inline to the tank.. so less water will make it in your air system.

yea i'd def get one of those...i just empty my tank of water every day, i got by last winter

get a water/oil trap and empty your tank everyday
