thats crazy that those are fords. i knew that mazda and fords have a lot of the same engines in them, but i never imagined seeing the same truck as a mazda, but just with a differant grille witha ford symbol on it.

The old body style mazdas before the 86-93's were ford couriers also. they were b1600's. And the fancier models were called Sundowners, lol

ya before they came out with the ranger ford was using mazda design, it was the b1600,b2000, and called it the courier, there were very small differences between the 2,(headlights tailgate and other little stuff)only because the "minitruck" scene was kickin ass in japan and north america didnt have anything small to compete with the datsun minitruck, which was the first mini in north america (1975) think, so the 3 major companies ( ford, dodge and GM) had to think quick, so ford used mazdas pick up, dodge brought up the mitsu mighty max and chev built the LUV, then toyota came in to the scene and so did nissan and here we are today...... i think that info is all correct, i got it from a few different sources(TLC minitruckin mag, net)

I think you mean isuzu built the luv for chevy.

In fact, some early 83 first gen S10's still had the OHC Isuzu motor. My brother in law owns one, its crazy..... and really slow.
