Oops! Well, even though that's not what you meant, the info in my post is still pertinent.

yes, yes it is SinCity. I agree With Tweaker as well. check your adapter plates under the carb. make sure the plates are perfectly flat, use wet/dry on a sheet of glass. make new gaskets out of gasket paper, apply a tiny amount of high temp silicone/rtv to the gaskets on one side.

Alright everybody i can't post pics right now my laptop won't register/recognize my phone as a compatible device. But i did spend some time on the truck today. Bought gumout and 35 bucks in which only got me 9 gallons but its good enough. Drove around for 5 miles and came home and looked at carb to check for leaks. No leaks around any seams or lines. took air filter off(which is very dirty and needs replacing) and I did find 2 interesting things. There are 2 flaps on top of intake which aren't moving when revved. Upon further inspection there are valves/flaps down inside carb which do move so the top ones are insignificant? Also the sucking sound comes from inside the carb. Have no clue whatsoever this could be. Normal or abnormal? Any advice would be awesome everybody. Thank you..

Oh and i do have platinum plugs. they say autolite platinum on the ceramic. Guess the previous owner wasn't very smart! Now plugs and wires will be done shortly because i don't trust this guys crappy work!

One more question: anyone else wrap headers with that insulating tape they make for headers? I only ask this because the header throws off a lot of heat making the hood warm(no insulation under hood) and the plug wires hot to the point where i couldnt really grab em to pull em off the boots were even hotter.

The top top flaps are your choke plates and they normally only move closed when the engine is cold.

The two inner flaps are the throttle plates for the carburetor, like when you accelerate. So I'm guessing that the roaring you are hearing is normal when you crack the throttle open.

Alright thank you. I adjusted a few screws and it feels better running and driving through the pedal so ill just wait to drive it enough to avg the mpg.
