ok got the weber on,removed canister parts kept every thing im suppose to, my question is do i really need a regulator for the fuel pressure coming from the mech fuel pump to the carb? and the fuel return line to the tank.......do i plug it or do i connect it to the fuel return on the carb? please help?got everthingready to fire, but wondering about fuel return?
I've had my Weber 32/36 DGEV for 6 years now. I also have the mechanical fuel pump; I tried a fuel pressure regulator for a year (until it leaked), found no difference in power or economy while using it. So I'd say FPR is needed only with the tank-mounted electric fuel pump (automatics).
I didn't plug any lines coming from the fuel pump at all.
I have the line from fuel pump returning to the tank, just looked. The large fitting on the Weber (front passenger corner of the Weber) goes to the vacuum cannister.
