Hey guys, its nice to be on a new forum. I say new because i was ( and i guess i still am) a member of s10forum.com due to ownership of a s10 blazer 4x4. Then about 5 months ago i bought a 1987 Mazda b2600 4x4. When i bought it the guy said he'd sell it for cheap due to it knocking. I dropped $400 in the guys hand and went to start it a few days later. I poured some gas in the carb and hooked up some jumper cables and fired it up. It started fine but man did it KNOCK! Theres a TAT sound in the motor. after inspection i noticed the timing chain guides were worn out so i bout a kit and replaced it all. I was hoping the timing chain beiong so loose is what caused the knocking....Not so. Till this day i have yet to find the knock. ive been on this web site many times just looking at the trucks and im really impressed. Im happy to be here and hope yall can help me with my problems as i can help u with ures.

welcome to the site.... these motors are notorious for blown head gaskets and valve ticks...... if it has 200k miles on it id suggest a complete over haul... mine (90 b2200 2x4) only has 170k on it and is and has been sitting for the past year waitin on a fix.....

Yea im thinking it does have a blown HG because of milky oil. It is getting rebuilt so its at my cousins house now(he has a wider range of tools and know how)

nice lookin 4 by you got there. are you gonna take it wheeling?
milky oil usually means a leaking headgasket. head gasketsare easy to swap out.

head gasket wounldnt make it knock. it could be rod bearings or main bearings on there way out.
