Newb from SE Kansas

lol...funny story on the bumper...i was gonna take it off when i took the spare tire out yesterday but i got to lookin and the damn thing is welded on! sooo...im getting a new exhaust done here pretty soon and while i'm there i'm just gonna have the guy cut it off for me while hes got it on the lift!

The truck was hit in the ass end before i got it hence the diff lookin/welded on bumper...the stock pan is kinda crunched/folded under just slightly...i think i might just take it somewhere and have em fix the corners of the stock pan and have a smooth pan welded in...

was the old truck now i have a x-cab

I went to a friends house tonight before work and we cut my bumper off...i also tried my hand at some redneck style body work on the stock pan...the only experience i have with bodywork was shavin my door handles on my red truck and a little fiberglass work...it was alot harder than it looked but i managed to make it look better than it did!

Before: both sides were about this bad, and the middle section of the pan was bent up pretty bad as well but i straightened that out by hand...

Not too bad for a hammer, vice grips, and channel locks eh? lol...i shot it with some spray paint to keep her from rustin...brown was all he had..lol

Hell, that ain't bad! Looks better than it did! Plus you probably shaved 100 plus pounds!

i'm from lincoln NE, so not too far from kansas, i have some family in topeka.
keep postin' the progress, i just got all hte body work finished on my truck and am in the process of getting converted to 5 lug and lowering it to the ground.

project 84 - that damn bumper was one heavy SOB! it actually raised the ass end of my truck up like 1/4 inch...lol...

toddluck - i think the truck i got the motor out of has all the chrome trim and mirrors and stuff like that...imma go check it out when i get a chance...

90-B22Dawg - I dig the hell outa that light blue you have on your truck right now...you should two tone somehow with some dark blue or somethin...that would pretty sick man...
