Hey, fellas I just joined. My name is Chris. 28 years old yesterday! Not really a mini-trucker, but I have always liked mini's especially the older ones 1st-2nd gen courier/mazdas, 1st-2nd gen Luv's, P'up's, 520-620-720 datsun's, 1st-2nd-3rd gen yota's etc. I have been a Hot-rodder all my life I work on hotrods for a living. I have a 38 Ford Pick-up old school-60's style 300h.p. 327-5 speed fat cragars,etc. I also have a 65 mercury comet 2 door sedan, that is my current project, making a cool driver with V8-5 speed,A/C, cruise, nice stereo,etc. also I have Silver 84 B2000 Sundowner, just kicked over 100K pretty much all original when I got it back in June07, scored it on ebay, not really a project vehicle, just a cool daily driver that gets 30mpg all day long. I swapped the grill and tailgate out with Ford Courier parts. I flipped the front B.J.'s and made some 1" steel spacers to put between them and the a-frame, then I lobbed 1 coil off the spring, and had to clearance the spring pocket a lil bit. Lowered it about 4" and still rides pretty decent. Just put some O'reilly 3" blocks in the rear. got stock wheels with skinny white walls 195-75-14 on front and 215-70-14 on rear looks pretty good too. I later ditched the cat and stock exhaust, just put on a 2" exhaust with a 30" glasspack. I couldn't live with the Nikki, so I put on a Holley 5200 while I was at it I removed all the smog/EGR/Reed Valves etc. I put an electric fan on and made a cold air intake. It felt like those few mods doubled the horsepower! Anyway other than putting in a CD player and making a couple of fiberglass kick panel pods for 6 1/2's she's pretty much stock, still wearing original paint. I'll post pic's soon as I take some.
