Hi Guys,
I'm in australia and new on here so here goes
Iv got a 1985 c30 chev dually and the turbo 400 packed up so instead of rebuilding the original trans I bought a rebuilt unit to save time as I need the car in a week and now the problem is...
The original yoke was a bolt in type
With the new one someone has machined down the lip that the yoke butts up against to allow for a slip yoke instead
Can I use a slip yoke type in this truck? Or should I stick with the original bolt in style?
I could probably machine the yoke and fit a welsh plug in there to make it a slip on yoke but not sure and being Xmas the shops are shut
