will regular cab front doors work on quadcabs?

I've got a 97 chevy 3500 that needs the driver front door replaced can I use a door off a standard cab 2 door? They are alot more plentiful.

Yes. Same exact door. Only difference would be the way the window switches are wired, so you may want to save yourself hassle and just change out the door module (or "door card", "inner door panel", etc.) All the front doors on this body style of truck are the same except for some year differences. The main one being in 1995 the inside of the shell was slightly changed to fit the new style door module and panel. As far as proper fit, it's best to stick as close as possible to the same year model you have due to wear and variance in tooling over the years. But you can get doors from a 2 door pickup, crew cab, Suburban, Tahoe, etc. doesn't matter at all.
