2008 3500 Chevy Dually deisel. Yesterday went to start and all it did was crank and not fire. Flatbed to the dealership, started right up when we got there and will not show any problems when it was put on the scanner. Now it seems to be fine. Scary since the truck is 2000 miles from home with a 35 foot trailer in tow.

Any ideas??

not sure how chevy diesels work but on a ford i know that there is a certin oil pressure amount the truck has to build to before the injectors will fire off. theres a few censors that control it. check your oil level? also check your coolant. i also know that on a 03 dodge truck i had when it was low on coolant or oil it wouldn't start, same thing with an older dodge car. just a thought thats all.

Not sure about a Duramax, but my Detroit was doing the same. Changed the lift pump and the filter and hasn't done it since.
