No problem Campy, glad they arrived...sorry about the two rolls of tape I used to keep the boxes from breaking apart...damn that stuff was heavy!

Ok so here's the update, the rear end design I wanted to do is just not going to work. The 8" bags I was going to use out back are going to hit the notch. Soooo i'm going to move the bags over on the rear end using the 8" flat circles I was going to use up front for the lower bag mount in the tube steel. Then slide the bags over towards the middle of the truck on the rear lower bag mounts, and I have an idea for the upper rear bag mounts using two pcs of 1.5" chromoly tube...with a couple bends in it. I'm going to get the new bags Friday morning, so I can jam on this thing Saturday!

EC and Layindoor, you guys were right, that front setup I was thinking about doing, ain't going to work (thanks for looking out!) When I did some double checking there was no way I felt I could run that and feel safe giving the truck back to my buddy.

So we are going with some Bearly Legal Fabrication tubular lowers for the front of this beyatch! Taylor said they will be getting down to it in about four weeks, so I have to wait on the front I guess, but it will be well worth the wait. They are going to drop the lower bag mount down a bit and help with the front end geometry, I can't wait...thx low95xlt!

Thx EC...

Ok so here are a couple updates, everything is getting welded up nice nice over the weekend. Then it's onto primer and paint.

My buddys mandrel bender broke. Now all it does is kink metal instead of bending it, so I just went with two straight pc's of 1.5" round OD tubing...ehhh still works. I like the bendy stuff though...as long as it's functional and serves a purpose. Not just cause you have 40 ft of tubing and a bender at your disposal...lol.

I need help with the panhard bar mounting though. The panhard was a little long, but from what i've heard from you guys that is a good thing.

Only problem is I can only mount it one way...it'll hit the notch if I put it any other way, or I can send it back to SD and i'm sure they will shorten it for me.

You guys think this will work? I'm going to beef the hell out of it. I just tacked that lower pc into place for the picture. The frame isn't wide enough for a sweet mounting point, so I trimmed a pc of 3/16 metal to fit under the frame. the other end misses the notch by about two inches...oh and the truck is about halfway through its suspension travel out back. Not quite ride height, but not slammed on its nuts either.

Holla!

Ok well i've been at it the last week trying like hell to get this thing done already, and I have been fighting an uphill battle. Always some little shit gets me running here or there.

Powder coater didn't get my links/panhard bar done, so I am just going to stick them on, lube them for now and coat them later. Then they said on Saturday, and Sunday we'll be getting a ton of snow, and I said to hell with it and jumped on it after work yesterday (Friday) and went till 5:00 am.

Here is the end result. It is still up on about 2" blocks of wood, and the front isn't slammed cause i'm waiting for the tubular lowers to be built, but you get the idea. I just welded a pc of 3/16 flat metal over the top of the lower control arm so I could air the truck up and roll it out.

i'm going to sleep.

I gusseted the front and back of the front 4 link mount, and stuck this in between these two areas as well.

Before and after...kinda. She's going to be alot lower up front, and not getting to sit on the 22's yet, she's going to get parked and tarped out back while we catch up on work in the shop. Winter has brought alot of work our way and we can't blow this truck apart yet, it'll take up the whole damn shop. Going to wait till it warms up. I'll update this in about a month or so...after I get the horrid smell of etching primer out of my nose.
