anything to watch out for when buying a higher mileage ford with a 7.3 turbo diesel? say around 150k miles and is a late 90's model, like a 99
the vehicles i have owned have always had high mileage. havent had anything under 150k miles when i owned it lol. but i've known diesels engines in general will last longer than gas motors. but im just worried about big components going out that i need to look for when buying a higher mileage rig.

the only motors i have heard bad things about are the earlie 90's chevy non turbo 6.5 liter "self distructing" diesel. not that that really helps here lol

as long as that truck was taking care of it will run forever.. my mother has a 99 f 450 with alittle over 300k on it and runs great...(its a wrecker thats why all the miles)

Check for oil blowby and make sure the turbos work and if the truck has been taken care of it will run for well over 300k
