84 sundowner 2.0... 88 mustang 2.3l n/a swap?

So i have my '84 Mazda B2000 Sundowner.. and the 2.0l runs great but leaks oil, getting low on compression, and literally has no ass at all. So i also have an 88 mustang in my back yard that has a 2.3 efi in it with an auto tranny behind it. What im wondering is, how difficult is this swap? Would i be able to adapt this motor to fit the 5spd in my truck and would my 5spd trans hold up to 300 hp? Also, could i boost this motor and get an ecu from a turbo 2.3 stang and remap the ecu?
