Hi, everyone just pick up a 1987 b2600 4x4 for body parts on my b2200. The motor is shot in the b2600, so i searched craigslist and found a 2003 mazda protege 5 motor for dirt cheap and was wondering if it will "bolt in" my b2600. If not then what about the tranny?

I completely change my mind, I want a 4bt, maybe. Anyone done this, I have researched it not finding much about 4bt b2600 but im finding it is a simple swap in other vehicles and are trucks are pretty simple, anyways, only thing i can find is Mercedes's diesels in b2600 and ls swaps. I wonder which is better Mercedes diesel or 4bt Cummins or Perkins 2.2 diesel? Anyone know? Power and torque wise. Also will trans bolt up to either of them.
