Hideous cab side lights

These things look like giant doorbells. LOL! The one on passenger side is cracked and I'd like to get rid of them. Only problem, holes. So, if it's already been cut and drilled, why not put in semaphores? I've owned a few vintage VW's and like that look. Thoughts?

You can get 12 volt repop semaphores. They get pricey though, and real ones are super expensive, plus the real ones are 6 volt.

Thanks, Dean. I am willing to pay for quality. I know I'd have a job ahead of me, but I have nothing but time for this. Not a lot of $$$, but a lot of time. LOL! Thanks again, and this group has been helpful with this little project.
